Left it all default. This is simple DVD.

Those programs, like DAW programs use Non destructive editing, meaning they are not actually storing copies of what was done, just the file that contains the instructions to redo what changes were made.

I already know this. There is plenty of space for all of that. It doesn't come NEAR needing 19g of space. I burned the same movies using Nero on a similar size drive with no troubles.

As an experiment I reran DVDStyler using a 200g drive astmp space and it started to run away again.

Same symptoms.

It scrolls a bunch of conversion messages by, and all seems to be going fine then it gets stuck on one conversion (a different one each time) and starts eating up disk space like crazy.

The program sucks, I have a bad copy, it doesn't like PCLinuxOS, it doesn't like the video files I dunno.

It's been uninstalled and I will go the Avidemux route because that program at least works.
