Mozilla 1.2.1 + RedHat 9.0 "popup" text entry window problemWow! Does that ring a bell loudly and clearly. I'm using home-compiled Firefox 1.5.0.7 on Mandriva 2006, and I recently switched to TWM from OpenMotif's MWM. My browser is compiled with GTK1 to work around some font problems with GTK2. I have how discovered that dialog boxes such as the print dialog won't accept keyboard input. I am fairly confident they were working before I switched to TWM. I also have focus-on-pointer-entry (opposite of click-to-focus) set. IME, clicking in the dialog box window and clicking in the text field are of no help in solving the problem. I filed a bug report, but I don't expect any action from the developers: agetty question Man agetty? Certainly all serial ports could be used by modem programs like cu even with... https:--bugzilla.mozilla.org-showbug.cgi?id=354241 The good news in my case is the same browser compiled with GTK2 works. If you can install Firefox 1.5.0.7 from a binary package, that just might solve your problem--as long as you don't mind lines of text looking double-spaced due to the extra vertical padding Unicode requires for the funny-looking stuff some Europeans tack on the top of some letters. (At least the fonts don't leave enough space for a 64-stroke Kanji I was once shown in a book.)
