My school accepts Linux but:: 4605

That's funny.... At my school, a business school catering in MBA's, we call the Linux people DORKS.

Last year they had what they called "Linux Day"

It was a freaking peeer!

All these dorks walking around with signs and obviously over geeked dress (even they don't dress that bad) along with more than one Gates imitator.

They hired some filthy water dog cart and gave away free hotdogs and beer, which was all Coors Light and some awful German Lager whose name escapes me. Wernerstein or something like that. Tasted like poo.

They were trying to get people to load Fedora Linux on their laptops and some went for the bait but most people just watched and cordially accepted the free knoppix CD's they handed out.

The garbage can was full with them the next day.

Bottom line was many students not only ended up with food contagioning from the filthy water dog vendor but they walked away with laptops that wouldn't even boot!

Seeing as this was at mid-term time, you can safely buttume there were more than a few peeed off, or actually peeed on, students.

(peeed on you say? So tell me where does a filthy water dog vendor take a leak? Better yet, where does he wash his hands? Bet you never thought of that one when you last purchased dogs from the local cart)

Needless to say, the word LINUX on MY campus has it's own special meaning. It stands for poo...

IOW "I have to take a Linux" or "Did you see that huge "Linux" in stall 2? Someone must be really sick!"

I can't wait for Linux day this year. I'm going to hand out bottles of Kaopectate.. The Philosophy Club was thinking of bringing enema bags along with signs that read:
