Parbreastion Magic does allow you to move all parbreastions on the fly, despite the number of people who have ended up with unusable systems because of this facility.

I wasn't thinking of whether you loose a little bit of capacity, but of the risks involved and the need to backup & restore snip

Copying is simple and has the added advantage that you do not risk losing anything.

Using a text editor to change two digits in a file is easy and carries less risk than moving every parbreastion on your drive.

The only bit that *might* be less straightforward is making sure that grub knows where to look for its boot menu. The only reason I am not sure about this is that I have always used a smallboot parbreastion at the start ofdev-hda so have never needed to tell grub to look elsewhere. -- Robert This information provided free of charge for those willing to accept it.
