OT Enlarging the terminal windowOn comp.os.linux.misc, in DeBusk" Trolls don't troll when they want help. Nor do they use the aliases that they troll with when they need help. No one with half-a-brain believes anything posted on the Internet until it has been verified off the Internet. I know what you have said. Using this psuedo-idenbreasty. Doesn't mean any of it is true. Maybe. Anyone can say anything. Trolls don't killfile people, in my experience, but they'll say anything.
Google groups is very popular with trolls. Most of the posts from there are trolls. There you go again, just saying things and expecting it to be swallowed, hook, line, and sinker. That's a characteristic of trolls. I'd be willing to bet that I simply didn't agree with your take on something, and that you couldn't bully me into doing so. Trolls are all basically bullies. They use multiple aliases so that they can pretend to be more than one person, and so they can hide their true posting history. Then why are you responding now? I'll do what I want. Most people live on a pile of pet beliefs that they don't like to have questioned. I have a tendency to do that. Multicast enabled but not responding to Pings On 5 Oct 2006, in the Usenet newsgroup comp.os.linux.misc, in article If you look at the charters for the newsgroups, "comp.os.linux.misc" is for postings that don't belong in one of the other sixteen... Really upsets a lot of people. Try saying "war is terrorism" at a meeting of Republicans and see how long you remain a member of their party other than in name (at best). It was interesting. We just reached a point where our views were too divergent. No common ground. That could be true. I could be wrong. Happens. external HDD 2685 Michael Heiming Hello Michael, running fsck as above gives Parbreastiondev-hda3 is mounted with write permissions, cannot check it. Here is the "mount" output:dev-hda3 on... Damned hard to tell what's what on the Internet. It is truly the Land of Illusions. I may do that. A lot of truth in that. Alan --
