Nothing does... Man has to start accepting that Man is not a God. Even those who do not believe in (a) God should learn how to feel humble amidst a Universe larger than any of us can dream up.

Well, Jesus was forgiving. He would have spoken His piece, but He would always be hopeful that the sinner might repent.

This is very true, although - having to be pedantic as I am ;-) - a recently published book called "Maria Magdalena" by Sir Laurence Gardner - an internationally respected historian - actually situates Jesus's birthday on March 1st in the year 7 B.C.

The book also corroborates with the fictional work "The Da Vinci Code" and clears the name of Mary Magdalene, who was wrongly depicted by the Catholic Church as the repenting prosbreastute whom Jesus had saved from end by stoning.

Many historic documents seem to confirm that Mary Magdalene was in fact a respectable woman, the most favored among the Apostles, and that she was Jesus's wife. She gave Him three children - she was pregnant of her first when Jesus was crucified - being a girl and two boys, in that order.

The book also states that after Jesus resurrected, He had to spend three years in an Essenian order, and Mary Magdalene, Jesus's sister Sarah-Salome and the children moved to the city of Marseille in France - at that time calledGalliaby the Romans.

Mary Magdalene's false reputation in the Catholic Church - and the Catholic doctrine that women should never be allowed to become priests - stemmed from the fact that the Catholic Church was actually founded by the Apostles Peter and Paul, who belonged to a different religious order than Jesus did, and who believed that women were inferior beings.

Apparently, this Christmas fell together with Hannukah, so we could wish that to the people as well. :-)

I am of course not an American, as you know. ;-) I was however drafted by my government for military service - they abandoned military drafting over here in 1994 - but I've never had to fire a weapon at anyone and I hope I'll never have to...
