OT Who exactly is this Alan Connor person

Basically, I run a default gagfile, meaning that I only bring down the headers of any alias that isn't pbuttlisted.

So I read strangers' headers instead of their articles and respond to them. Nothing unreasonable about that. They are part of the message someone is posting on the Usenet.

If I see that a person is apparently (sometimes, though rarely, I am wrong, and if learn that I am, I apologize) making an effort, not to hide their location or real name, but their true posting history by using different aliases and-or newsservers or the reply to their headers instead. Or just ignore them.

I call such people 'trolls", and they almost always are trolls (or worse), even if they are being nice at the moment because they want help.

They are never pbuttlisted (unless they change their ways and post under a single, unique alias). Nor are any replies (articles) to their articles downloaded here.

Why? Because the Usenet is being destroyed by trolls.

It won't work unless we honor people's killfiles. I do. I not only post under just this alias, but I generate my own Message-ID which can be used to killfile any artilicles from me and any responses to them. This would be the scorefile object for slrn and similar newsreaders:

No one has to read my posts, or anyone's posts.

Having someone read your posts is a privelege, not a right.

If you want the opinion of some stinking trolls and-or spammers, one of them put up this website, which I have never looked at. I don't read trolldung, on the web, on the Usenet, or in the mail.

I don't want to because they are petty to major Usenet-Internet violators (and usually obnoxious) and I don't have to because they are no threat of any kind.

Let's see if it is still there:

Been there for years.

And there's a newsgroup called: alt.butthole.alan-connor (or something like that) on King Troll's (Fat Mike Horwath's) servers (readfreenews.net and ocatanews.net, which cater to no one but trolls).

Or just read the trolldung that will be posted here by the privatesless juvenile delinquents (of whatever chronological age). I certainly won't be.

Note: I won't be downloading any articles on this thread.
