It is a way of converting ps files to other ps files. there is an options option, which presumably to those who understand postscript probably gives you a way of changing the offsets. You have never told us by how much the offsets are out. .001mm, or 10cm?

There are huge numbers of HP Colour Laserjet ppd files. Whether any would work for yours I have no idea. HOwever the Laserjet probably comes with its own ppd file on the disk that came with the printer. ppd files are common to may printing systems. They are not a peculiarity of cups.

OK, most of the problem is fixed. Now make sure tht the pdf to postscript interpreter is not buttuming you are using USLetter.

The cups converter is pdftops according toetc-cups-mime.conv. (-usr-lib-cups-filters-pdftops-- which is the standard pdftops altered to accept the standard cups arguments and then .) There is a config fileetc-xpdfrc Look in there. (eg for psPaperSize)
