PCLinuxOS 1624PCLinuxOS 1625 tab spewed this vial garbage: Huh? Texstar never did anything with KDE for Mandrake-Mandriva. He only had a huge 3rd... On Fri, 16 Jun 2006 01:32:49 +0000, Rick I'll try, I've been kind of out of touch with PCLOS of late. AFAIK, it's not included by default on the LiveCD, but more than likely it's available from the repos. Yes and No, respectively. This is a bit of a subjective question. One of the issues I have with PCLOS and basically all rpm based distros is how poorly they handle dependancies and external repos in comparison to deb based distros like Mepis. Yes, pretty comprehensive one in fact. It's basically the same as what Mandriva has. Yes, it uses a variation of harddrake, which is even better than QTParted IMO. By default, only KDE is installed IIRC; though other WM-DE's are available in the repos. Uhmm....not sure about that one. Not by default I don't think, though you could probably get a version of adept-notifier or something like that post-install. PCLOS is a very good system so long as you don't fiddle with it too much. If you are the type that makes a lot of changes and modifications to your system, then you are probably going to have issues.
