Problem about man k 1149

I have the manpages-dev package installed. and, I can read the read(2) manpage with command ' man 2 read '.

My question is why I can't use 'man -k' command to find this entry. When I use 'man -k read sort', there is some section 3 manpages, but not any section 2 manpages. So I can't use 'man -k' command to search man page about a system call. This is the output of 'man -k read sort'
