Problem suspending apps with CTRLz under bash3.00On Sun, 16 Oct 2005 19:36:28 -0400, Chris F.A. Johnson cdrecord k3b audio cd elapsed time problem Hi, When I copy an audio cd using cdrecord or k3b, it seems to go without problems. However, it won't play properly in most cd players. The first... I believe I spoke too soon. I just booted my old Slack-10.0 install and recompiled bash there with the official SlackBuild script, and it works fine. It must be an issue with something else in Slack-10.2. Maybe gcc or glibc, I dunno. I used the Slackware source first. Then, after reading your post, I went and got the source, and all the patches from ftp.gnu.org. The source tarball and the officaial patches from the Slackware source are identical to those from ftp.gnu.org. There's one other patch applied to Slackware's bash. It can be seen here: Anyhow, I tried with and without that patch... with and without the official patches. No good. Then, after recompiling under Slack-10.0 it's OK. FWIW: Slack-10.0 Slack-10.2 ========== =========== glibc 2.3.2 glibc 2.3.5 gcc 3.3.4 gcc 3.3.6 libtermcap 1.2.3 libtermcap 1.2.3 Other than those, I don't know what packages might be the cause of this. I'm going to repost my OP to alt.os.linux.slackware, and see if anyone there can reproduce it. I'm using the binary I compiled on Slack-10.0, so I have no such problem either... now. Thanks for the input. ciao, Jonathan -- Don't just hit reply. Email address is broken. Thank your friendly neighborhood spammer.
