Problem with Mozilla Firefox in Linux. 1090Hi Robert, I shall now post the outputs of the commands that you have suggested. Here is the first one's: 127.0.0.1:26881 Next: rm: remove symbolic link `-home-amit-.mozilla-amit-q6cdo4z7.slt-lock'? y And finally, `-home-amit-.mozilla-amit-q6cdo4z7.slt-lock' (No such file or directory). About your query related to me trying to delete the lock on previous occasions, yes, I tried to delete the lock several times before. But my guess is, as soon as a new session of mozilla is started, a new lock is created pointing to it's (newly buttigned) PID. Hence, if I try to kill the running mozilla browser by suppling its present PID, it will shut down, but when restarted, it will start with a new PID which the lock will then point to. So, between sessions, a file command on the lock will always show different PIDs which the lock is pointing to. Ultimately, my conclusion is that the lock file is only buttociated with mozilla and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with Firefox, but the latter is still not working. Also, I have searched the firefox installation directory, but there are no lock files there. Regards, Amit.
