Problem with ipw2200 driver on interface

Hi

I realized that I had not installed the firmware. So, I installed it tousr-local-lib-firmware

(Myetc-hotplug-firmware.agent contains :

FIRMWAREDIRS="-lib-firmwareusr-local-lib-firmwareusr-lib-hotplug-firmware")

Rebooted. I still cannot get it to detect the wireless card in the centrino.

I am beginning to wonder if my CPU even is what I think it is :
