You can set up an icon on yur desk top which links to the camera (when it is hooked up).

1. Plug your camera in and turn it on 2. Go to your disk management application (under system tools on the KDE menu) and click on it to activate it 3. See if you havedev-sdb1 on the list 4. If not add the following line toetc-fstab (-etc is the directory and "fstab" is a script which you can open with a any text editor):

RE:Kodak.... 4788
Anything you like. Who's going to read it except root (who cares)? Try it and see. The worst you might get is a failure from mount on an entry with...

dev-sdb1mnt-camera vfat rw,user,auto 0 0 5. Go to yourmnt

5. Add a folder to yourmnt directory called camera (-mnt-camera)

6. On your desk top, left click and select "Create new link to device"

7. At the device part of create, select "camera device"

8. On the Camera device go to the 3rd tab an dselect the pull down "device" and you will see all of your drives there. Select the camera

9. Return to the desktop, close all windows you have opened and click on the camera icon.

10 You should see the files on your camera device.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,

Dave
