RE:Kodak.... 4788kernel oops The following message from logcheck doesn't mean anything to me, and the machine still seems to function OK, but I'd be very grateful for...
Anything you like. Who's going to read it except root (who cares)? Try it and see. The worst you might get is a failure from mount on an entry with "user" options. Shrug. So loosen up the read perms a little if that happens.
"Directory". Oh yes it did. Don't paraphrase! Be PRECISE. State the command and the error message, EXACTLY.
Grr, learn english, man. Your sentences make no sense! Learn to express yourself comprehensibly - and when you can, your language comprehension will likely also have improved to a level at which you can operate comfortably for a change. If you are trying to say that your left or right button menu contains no "Link to device" entry, then you maybe have a very old KDE (you ARE talking about KDE?). Come clean about it! Don't annoy the people who are trying to guide you without the benefit of being able to see your desktop.
322 users logged in and they're all me?!?! 16:08:36 up 275 days, 20:57, 322 users, load average: 0.12, 0.17... So what! If your gui provides no help, do it yourself. Go to your Desktop subdir in your $HOME, copy the existing "CDROM Device" file to MyFoo, and edit away at it. It'll look something like this: Desktop Action Eject Exec=kdeeject %v Name=Eject Desktop Entry Actions=Eject Dev=-dev-cdrom FSType=iso9660 Icon=cdrommount MountPoint=-mnt-cdrom ReadOnly=false Type=FSDevice UnmountIcon=cdromunmount and you can change every field as you like. Maybe Desktop Entry Dev=-dev-sdb1 FSType=vfat Icon=myfavicon MountPoint=-mnt-camera ReadOnly=false Type=FSDevice UnmountIcon=myfavothericon Use the Floppy file as a guide. Or click on "new floppy device"! Be inventive! Put some effort in. Peter
