RTFM 3376Peter T. Breuer In which case I have a completely separate question I could ask you about in your field. Do you do much work with audio processing? Yep. RTFM 3377 this message is intended for anyone else on the list who may be following the thread. butthole Connor is on my plonk list. the only way I'll see his comments is by... The problem there is that you can get those peaks for an almost infinite variety of reasons having nothing whatsoever to do with the problem at hand. It would require a substantial amount of AI I would think. You would first have to identify the region of the photo which is a face -- not just human, the problem is even worse in photos of animals -- then clearly locate the eye region before attempting to identify the red that you want to eliminate. Hell of a lot easier to open a photo editor, draw a selection box around each eye and then invoke the algorithm. When used that way the algorithm is both simpler to implement and a lot more sure in the results because the input data is more predictable.
Which you would do immediately with the GUI tool because it's right there in front of you. What do you mean? With a paintbrush on paper?
Open a graphical tool, delineate regions using the mouse, invoke the commands and look at the results. Well there ya go. I often am. A lot of people use computers for that sort of thing. But if you don't, then it may very well be that a CLI is the best choice for *you" and I have absolutely no argument with that statement. Why should I? It's your tool to use as you see fit. What I don't get is why there has to be this dogmatic atbreastude that says your way is "intrinsically" superior to any other way.
I knew this old lady once... she's since pbutted on, that never really quite "got" the concept behind TV. She wouldn't leave it on very long so the people inside could get some rest.
