Re:devsda16 isn't being initializedOn Sat, 09 Sep 2006 12:32:44 -0500, Dances With Crows Hmm... I guess your rules for civility and mine are different. I've long considered it rude to drop into a new forum and start asking questions without at least giving the folks some idea of who I am within the context. Sorry to annoy. Wireless Networking Still A Nightmare With Linux Another one for the "Works For Me" COLA gang Damm, all he has to do is plug... It may have been true for a long time, but this is my first experience with anything other than IDE. (I'm on SATA, though.) I'm amazed that Windows can do something Linux cannot. Consolidation is one possibility, but not my favorite one right now. I don't know enough about Linux yet to trust myself with sharing it with OS-2 and Windows data, I don't trust Windows enough to entrust it with Linux or OS-2 data, and there's no decent support for Linux under OS-2. I've been looking to keep them seperate as much as possible for now, until I'm more comfortable under Linux. (Already I'm having to stop myself from typing "ls" rather than "dir" in CLI windows under OS-2 and XP. I consider that to be a good sign.) If I were to delete the Windows 98 parbreastion, which is a primary, I'd then only have fifteen parbreastions... but because Linux starts numbering extended parbreastions at "5", I'd still havedev-sda16. Would it work? Thanks for your buttistance.
