Reading from USB

Hi ... I have a question.

I have a device (Airmar WeatherStation PB100). This Device can be connected to pc only via usb. All drivers and softvare are for Windows. This weather station sends continuesly data to the usb port, an software is reading and displaying data on the screen.

Now.I would like to connect this device to pc with linux os, and than write my own program in c that reads data from usb. Could this be done ? ... I tried to find some examples written in c that reads data from usb port, but i've found none. So if anyone have time to explain me, give me advice, or link where i can learn how to do this i would appreciate that.

One more thing. When i connect this device to usb port in log i get new line:

Note that weatherstation has no drivers ... So i'm wondering can i read data from weatherstation regardless that there are no drivers for it..
