SOLUTION Remote Printer TroubleOf all things, I found a solution in a SAMBA related FAQ. My cupsd.conf was already as suggested below, but the other suggestions to uncomment the "application-octet-stream" lines seems to have done the job. CUPS Configuration Windows printer drivers format their output for the printer before sending it across the network. But a ppp link that has been set up doesn't check credentials... Now CUPS must be told to allow connections from other machines on the network. Finally, restart cups with the following command: etc-init.d-cupsys restart Your Linux printers should now be shared to Windows PCs on the LAN.
