Note that I've formatted the Time column to display in xx.xx format and not the usual xx:xx:xx format.

Ok, the question is: don't the avgqu-sz values seem extremely high? I have two systems that are configured similarly and they both show these high values. One paper I looked at mentioned that avgqu-sz should not be more than 2 times the number of disks in the array that make up the FS. BTW, we're using RAID 10 here.

6Gb from 4.7G DVD
I have a DVD (+RW) I've recorded on a home DVD recorder (Bush DVHRS02 combi DVD recorder-VCR). I want to make a copy of it using my PC so I copy the filesystem...

The two possibilities that I can come up with are that there is a bug in iostat (unlikely) or that running iostat against a RAID array will give wierd results (more likely).

Since I'm only just begining to delve into iostat any guidance would be appreciated.
