The Linux Revolution: What Happened 4326Alan Connor Alan are you American? It would be interesting to know, because here in the UK there is a growing anti-American sentiment. However, some of us over here know that there are many American brothers and sisters who can see their government for what they really are, and are making active strategies to resolve the problem they see with their government, society and their environment as a whole. If only those kinds of people (like yourself) made up the majority of the American population, and the world could see it. America is the most influencial global power. To see it put right its wrongs will be a great time. Its good to see that you clearly understand the deep rooted problems with computing as a whole, see that much of it stems from greed, commmecialism, manipulation, bullying, pathetic power strugles and outright theft. Linux is just one way of addressing such problems. However, it is not and end in itself, and is only a means of expressing the greater need for social re-eduction and reformation. A global revolution is on the horizon. The hydrogen economy isnt ready, and soon enough the oil economy will collapse. Linux will then be in its prime as MS infastructures fall apart with no support. I could go on......Hope you get this mebuttage AC. Peter I know these are the holidays, but we don't have that much free time Dzjeezes, there we go again... :- Agreed, the man has a few points, but most people here already know them and don't want to be botherd for the 2.356th time by it, or by ignoring...
