Really? Interesting. I have a completely different experience.

When did they "discontinue support" in relation to when you bought it? I remember that M$ also discontinued support to versions of Windows.

If you don't like RedHat, use another.

Linux was crap because you had a bad experience with the polycies of RedHat? Does that mean you hate water because you don't like Poland Springs? Poor logic flow.

How so? Unless you can state it could not accomplish the task or were unable to secure suport, you are making things up.

I bet, given my estimation of your inteligence based on your posts, it happens a lot more frequently.

LOL, OK.

Does it? I haven't seen that. There was a time when they didn't expire software, but now that they do, it is more like 3 or 4 years.

Well, that is a complete lie.

Most impressive to me about OpenSource: 1) Generally high-quality, efficient code 2) Generally free of charge 3) Generally good karma for supporting the people of the world rather than a...

There were a few versions of Windows 95. The one release in late 1995 was very crippled. Win95b had the beginnings of much of the 98 infrastructure, but was badly broken. Win95 sp2.2 was very close to win98.

Win98 had two version. Win98 and Win98SE. IMHO 98SE was the most stable version of Windows since 3.11.

Where did you work?

Mozilla will spin off.

Why?

Mike Cox Good thing you went for the Linux distro that's closest to Microsoft's spirit. Bob Young once said in Montreal -- at...

Recommending Linux has been very good for a lot of people.

No, they want to concentrate on Firefox.

That's obviously your misinformed opinion.

Bzzzt, wrong. Many people make great money with open source. We've been down this road so many time. Most software is developed for in house or vertical market use.

Hmm, there are some people making some good money with open source. It isn't communism any more than is poland springs. Take publically available resources and market and sell them. Now THAT'S Capitalism!

Windows applications mostly suck anyways.

Refocusing efforts on a product which is making the foundation money is the root of capitalism.

Not at all true, the mozilla foundation is doing very well.

Sure, just make sure you put Linux on it, like Linus Torvalds did as well.
