But restore *anywhere*? I tried this last time I got rid of a laptop. Being too lazy to reinstall, I partimaged off the linux and windows filesystems. Got the new laptop, unpartimaged, and tried to boot. The linux "worked", for some value thereof, I did a fresh install shortly thereafter, in order to configure properly for the different hardware. The windows install choked completely. Seems windows stores some information about disk geometries, such that droping a installation from one disk to one sufficiently different (10GB laptop the free license for Boson Net Simulator that came with my CCNA study guide. :-( Now, I just run Win2k out of a file using vmware. Runs fine on a PIII 650 w384MB RAM, surprisingly. WANT TO EARN CASH NO SCAMS!! NO TRICKS WANT TO EARN CASH?? NO SCAMS!! NO TRICKS!!
