As to your ADSL problem .. tell us what kind of a "modem" you have. Is it a black box standing at the other end of the room, like I have? (a "router"). Or is it a card inside your machine?

If the latter, then you will need a driver for it!

Load the driver, read the driver docs to see what device it provides, and how to configure it, and that's all.
