I apologize you, my a little flowing english it doesn't help me... Precise better: I have made two attempts of installation: 1) I have tried to install a modem usb and I-you-they have not succeeded 2) therefore having failed in the said attempt above me I have taken another modem, this time a Router and I have tried to install him-it but also this attempt is bankrupt. This router has perfectly worked under windows xp with the same provider (PPPoE)

Well we see, what I have done:

I have unloaded the file rp-pppoe-3.6.tar.gz ( therefore I have decompressed it

tar xfvz rp-pppoe-3.6.tar.gz

"I enter" in the directory just created: cd rp-pppoe-3.5

And I perform the command. go

....-usr-local-src-rp-pppoe-3.5# .-go

To this point enter a graphic interface that allows me to establish the values of the connection to my provider ( I know well This procedure and I know not to commit errors. I have already installed other times on other distributions)

When I have ended and I try to activate the connection the attempt it prolongs him for some second and then the following error message it goes out:

................TIMED OUT

Now going to seek some information in more on what it happens here is thing I get:

pppoe-status: Link is down (can't read pppoe PID filevar-run-pppoe.conf-pppoe.pid.pppoe)
