UBUNTU and ADSL. I pray you helped me!!! 4877
Please stop talking about "installation"! Theer is no such thing. You have a router. Now all you have to do is CONFIGURE your static routes to go through it.
There is nothing to "install"! You compile and load a driver, then do what configuration is necessary. There is nothing to install! Leave the router be. It is happy! Connect your NIC to it it via the ethernet cable. Macke sure the cable is the appropriate one for the router port in question (either crossover or straight-through). Then configure your routing via sbin route del default sbin route add default gw the.ddr.of.router dev eth0 That's all! Nothing to it. Fine I would guess that you have set your router to the 192.168.1.1 address. Is that the case?
Well, you have received some bytes. That rather implies that your router is connected to you!
It does NOT WORK UNDER WINDOWS! It has its own operating system! Windows (or linux) have nothing to do with it.

UBUNTU and ADSL. I pray you helped me!!! 4878 What's "1"? And what's "2"? Please be aware of the medium you are using! I only see your post. Nothing more. Nothing less! If you have... NOOOOOO. Do not do this. PPP is handled by the router, not you. Leave it to the router. That is what routers are for. It is none of your business if it is using pppoe or whatever. Peter
