UBUNTU and ADSL. I pray you helped me!!! 4880
And yet, Ubuntu 5.10 won't be released until later this week. I hope you won't feel singled out, Cristian: You're one of several people who've claimed recently on this newsgroup to be running "Ubuntu 5.10". My point is that if you're running pre-release software, it's really important that you (1) realise that fact and (2) mention that to others when you seek help from others. Obviously, what you installed is either one of the "preview" developmental snapshots or the recent "release candidate" beta image. In either case, prereleases can be expected to be subject to a greater amount of misbehaviour and outright bugs than would be a full release image -- and also will be less well supported, in part because beta testers are buttumed to know what they're getting into, and that if it In addition, it should go without saying that, if you're having problems with a prerelease snapshot, the next obvious question in most cases will be "Yes, but do you see the same thing if you use the non-beta full release, instead?" In this particular case, happily, you wouldn't have to wait more than a couple of days to get the next full release, if you wish. Build problem with 2.6.13.2 kernel I've been trying to build a 2.6.13.2 on an old PIII system with a fresh FC4 install (all of the updates have been installed). I've successfully built the same kernel on three other systems... That having been said, I'd help you with your ASDL USB modem driver problem if I could, but have no relevant experience. Sorry about that. UBUNTU and ADSL. I pray you helped me!!! 4881 What "native (original) message"? News is not mail! I do not see everything you post, nor in the order you post it if I...
