Hi all,

I connected a new Freecom USB hdd to my Suse 9.2 pro system which was detected and auto mounted. The drive (as sold) had one Windows parbreastion taking up the whole disk. It was mounted as "-media-FW4360B29140042C1D37F" and I was able to copy files to it. Below is the output from the system log.

However, ever since this when I attempt to connect the drive I get the following:

usb 5-1: new high speed USB device using address 4 usb 5-1: Product: FHD-Clbuttic usb 5-1: Manufacturer: Freecom Technologies usb 5-1: SerialNumber: FW4360B29140042C1D37F usb 5-1: control timeout on ep0in usb-storage: probe of 5-1:1.0 failed with error -1

sbin-lsusb shows Bus 005 Device 004: ID 07ab:fccd Freecom Technologies

but there is nothing in the boot log.

"cdrecord -scanbus" or "catproc-scsi-scsi" no longer return the USB hdd.

That's not to do with the mail server (i.e. transfer agent), but with the local delivery agent. If procmail...

Any help appreciated.
