Ubundu: Doing something securitywise with it's parbreastion 285Per Peter T. Breuer: Haven't touched it yet. It already has the "User" option. Unfortunately I cannot show it here bc I just changed it - removing the "ro" option to see if that helped - and managing to hose the Ubuntu boot process. So I cannot boot Ubuntu to change it back - only option left (short of a re-install...which isn't that big of a thing...) is figuring out how to get one of the other OSs to mount Ubuntu's parbreastion and let me re-edit the file. Manual? There's a manual? That is good news. shell: reading whole lines 286 I bet you are so full of hero worship you won't actually consider what I say... The bad news is that Ubuntu is not running at the time I'm unable to mount the parbreastion. Instead, Kubuntu is running - so my first guess is there is something peculiar to that particular parbreastion that tells another OS that it's not available for mount and it is nothing to do with Ubuntu's fstab - which would seem tb completely out of the picture. From Ubuntu, I can mount Kubuntu's, Debian's, and Fedora's parbreastions - and each of those systems will mount the other's parbreastions. It's just the Ubuntu parbreastion that cannot be mounted by anybody except Ubuntu. -- PeteCresswell
