Usb Headset

Hello,

I own a toshiba 3480 portege on which I'm running debian-sarge under kernel 2.6.13.2.

I'm using skype and because my audio MIC in connector is broken (which I need for recording) I bought a USB Headset from Logitech 200.

I can connect the USB headset directly to the laptops usb port or to the usb port of the docking extension.

Now my question is: How can I access the USB Headset and make it available to other sound applications like skype?

I know that my normal sound device can be accessed underdev-dsp.

However, I do not know what I have to do so that output goes to the headset and input is recorded from microphone?

Does my headset have another soundcard inside or will I be using the one inside my toshiba?

If somebody could give me an overview I did appreciate it.

Here is some information about my setup...
