I would agree to that some years ago, but now I'm not so sure any more. Anything you write here (under your full name) can be used against you at any point in the future, it be from future employees, future governments or whatever. One alternativ is to use one name (and stick to it) that apperantly looks like a real name, most people wouldn't notice, and you wouldn't run the same risks. That beeing said, I have posted with real name and sometimes even with full telephone number for many years, and never had problems with it - with one exception: I wrote a personal mail telling my buddies that I would move to a new town and a new employer and get so-and-so much salary and my personal opinions about that. It was late night, I was tired, young and stupid, and I thought - "why not post it to the news groups that I'm frequenting". This is of course something that one never should do - and it almost costed me the job even before I arrived there. But poo happens, "common sense" doesn't stick that well in the late night.
