It certainly was an interesting product, but people apparently didn't find it useful. Back in the Windows 3.1 days, I found I preferred the standard interface; It's a lot easier to organize a virtual workspace that doesn't mimic reality than it is to organize a virtual workspace that does, or even a real workspace. Think about it; drawers are a horrible way to store things. Most implementations don't let you see inside before you open it. If the drawer has a lot of stuff in it, you frequently have to dig around before you find the item you want. A more convenient workspace is a large surface that you attach needed items to. This could be magnets on a whiteboard, or icons on a desktop. Multifunction tools alleviate this a little; having a menu on your PDA (or your computer application) allows you to "nest" functionality. Lessee...What appointments do I have this week? OK, get PDA from pocket. Open calender on PDA menu. Click "Week View" in the calender app. Also, I never could figure out how to hit "Ctrl-F" while searching through the boxes in my room. A packing list might have helped, but I was never organized enough to create one.
