Where from Konqueror knows the country I'm inRobert Heller there is no directoryetc-sysconfig when I type "env" i get the following: LANG=enUS this is the only variable value relating to a language or country I'm not interested in, did I mentioned something about such? yes now I understand why you asked above. anyway, some people seem to understand what I said; while I agree this diserves some more care. I meant that: I'm usually running firefox as my main web browser. when I go to "www.google.com" I get directly into the local version of google. i.e. google.co.uk for England, google.fr for France, google.de for Germany... here I'm in France so I get into google.fr when I click on "google in English" I can get the real google in English, so it's fine! but this is not same with konqueror, I cannot get the real google in English, I'm always stuck to the french one!!!!!!!!!!!!! Treasure Trooper 1796 what you do here is you complete simple surveys and offers, some require a credit card, but i just do all the free ones :D its easy to do, you just register and... i meant that: I got into the settings of Konqueror and searched for location or language settings but I didn't find anything note: Country-language option is already set since ever to US-English in the Control Center of KDE (forget the ps) is it ok?
