YOu know... I switched to linux because it didnt crash 10 times a day... I stay with linux cause I dont feel I need to spend $200 just to use my computer. Sure there is a little more work involved, but so isnt everything thats cheaper... I like linux cause there's less virii, usually, the security holes are fixed BEFORE everyone gets backdoored... How bout the simple fact that if I want to make a program for windows, I have to spend $499 on software just to learn how to program for windows... meanwhile everything I need to do it in linux is there. I can make my userinterface work any way I want, and I dont need to spend $49 on some shareware peice of junk that somehow hogs more resources then windows itself... how bout the fact that linux is still scalable... I run linux quite well on a p60 with 32megs of ram... windows98 can barely do that. My canon printer works, my muvo works.. my smp system works and I didnt have to by a 'special code' so that it would work with all 4 procs... Sure linux is frustrating... more from the standpoint of; Linux does what you tell it too and not what you want it to; Windows does what it thinks you want and not what you tell it.

I'm not even saying that linux is best, I just like it. I mean if windows worked soooo good why do you have to restart it all the time? You wanna see something that works well, look at BSD-FreeBSD. I've seen those servers run for years without reboots. Again, not that I am saying linux is better, its a matter of opinion, just like cars or shirts or shoes... everyone is allowed to like theirs better than others, and I like linux.
