ISO9660 compatibility please help
Mike Richter, were you born with "Scam Artist" emblazoned on your face? -------------------------------------- Didi Why don't...

I have been trying for 2 weeks to get a wireless adapter that will work in Linux. I got a christmas present of a wireless hub and pcmcia adapter. That adapter had a Marvel chipset in it that apparently works with ndiswrapper but ndiswrapper can't load 32 bit windows drivers in 64 bit mode. So back to the store with that one. Then I brought home one that uses a Ralink chipset that has a driver but the damn thing crashed and burned the kernel. So I looked in the kernel source config files for list of cards that work. I bring a list of cards to the store with me this time and I found one, or so I though. The NETGEAR WG511. I bring it home expecting it to work and what do I find? Another GDamn Marvel chipset - I failed to notice that this was a WG511 - *V2*...bugger to hell.

gnometerminal tabwithprofile option dont work
I would say it's a bug. When you open a new terminal window, then the tab #1 is implisitt (the window itself is a tab). You...

I have NEVER had this much trouble getting a device to work in Linux - never. I've been using this OS for several years and this is my worst experience with it yet. No wireless adapter seems to be compatible with it....nothing you'll actually find at a computer store anyway.

I'm just ranting. I don't think there IS any help for me. I just have to go back to the damn store and take it back. Then I have to find another that I haven't tried yet and get peeed off when that one is incompatible also. I really wish there was a way to know ahead of time...
