Dances With Crows I agree that it's getting old. I mentioned a planned upgrade and was told that since 3.0 will be supported for a while, to leave it alone. Go figure. I...

I don't think this is an X problem per se, but read on.

This is comparatively ancient, just so you know. I don't think it has anything to do with your problem, but older kernels support fewer devices.

alsa sound problem in fedora core 3 fc3
Hi, i am using fc3 with kernel 2.6.11-1.14FC3 I use gnome, but I wanted the kde's clipboard manager so...

So it always dies at the same or similar time? What's scheduled then? Find what combination of input causes this problem, and you're well on your way to fixing this bug in your program.

Put some breadcrumbs (probably statements of the form fprintf(OFP,"line NNN-n") at places before and after where you think the problems might be happening) in your code, recompile, rerun. Use the breadcrumbs to narrow down the places in which the program's barfing. Put some more detailed breadcrumbs in those places. Iterate until you've got one small set of lines that are causing the problem. Examine those lines closely, then fix them.

This is probably a bug in your code, not anything to do with the rest of the system.

It's impossible to tell without more information than you've provided, synchronization-mutex-semaphore problem.
