Xen helping to test XenYou can help the Xen-project by testing Xen 3.0 on a x86-based hardware. Please read: Do: 0) Download the Xen 3.0 ISO (CD image). 1) Verify the ISO-file using "md5sum" program. (d-l errors do occur). The correct md5sum sum is given here: 2) Burn the CD. 4) Boot from the CD. 5) The test runs AUTOMATICALLY. Your Server-pc may reboot several times to test various kernels. Eg. this PC, which has an AMD Athlon 64 3400+ CPU, run three different kernel-tests with automatic reboot after each. o...XEN 3.0 X8632 test o...XEN 3.0 X8632 wPAE test o...XEN 3.0 X8664 test o...Compile and submit results... One sole thing that failed was the "Compile and submit results" step. So the test results was posted to XenSource.com by using this web-form: You can use LSHW (list HW script) to find accurate details of your machinery, in case you must fill-in the form manually. Make also sure that the testresult file is readable otherwise the web-form cannot grab it.
