alsa, 2.6.12 and via82xxHello For acpi purposes, I upgraded my system to the kernel 2.6.12 (I downloaded the pristine sources from kernel.org and rebuilt it using kernel-package). how can I mount proc file systems There's not enough information to go on. Is this a new install? Or was it working and something has change? What distribution? There could be a lot of reasons. Is support compiled... My laptop uses a via sound card (lspci gives: 0000:00:11.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8233-A-8235-8237 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 50) ). During the configuration of the kernel, I left away the oss modules and selected only the modules for my sound card (snd-via82xx).
