You need to fix "udev" on your computer. When udev works, it createsdev-usb-lp0 automatically, as soon as you connect a USB printer. The device file disappears again when the printer is disconnected.

Since I don't have sarge, I don't know how udev is supposed to work on your computer, but you may be able to figure out something from the following:

Do "catproc-sys-kernel-hotplug". The output *should* be the name of a command. On my system, the output is "-sbin-udevsend". On some systems the output will be "-sbin-hotplug". Whenever the kernel discovers a device, or a device disappears, the kernel runs that program.

Whatever you find on your system, use the "man" command to learn more about it. You will most likely not understand it all, but then come back here with more questions.

I don't understand what you mean by "a folder of usb files", or what is "the first dev". I will guess: you tried to do

cpdev-.static-dev-usb-*dev

or something similar. While I cannot know anything for sure until I know what exactly you did, I feel quite confident that this is not the reason why you are having these problems.
