cups job is "active" but nothing seems to happen

Hi,

several times, a Job is in state active, but nothing seems to happen (I've no access to the printer so I can't tell wats going on there) Is there a way to find out what's the progress of a job is?

So it's sitting there since nearly 1:30 hours and I wonder what's happening.

I just want to know - how many bytes are sent for example or any other status "active" is not really verbose. - For me it looks like the background filter had some problems with "file" since it's still in the converting phase - is there a way of preventing any converting thing (it's calling pstops) I'll always print ps on this printer and i don't need any filtering... I just want a plain spooler w-o any magic (no, I can't just use lpd for some reasons)
