dvdbackup 876On 18 Apr 2006 16:53:33 GMT, Kevin the Drummer staggered into the Black Sun and said: dvdbackup 877 In my OP I mentioned that I'm trying to use growisofs, which has worked well for me in the past. But, I just... It's called "a dual-layer DVD-ROM". Lots of those are out there. To fit the audio and video onto a 4.3G DVD-+R, you have to either remove some content (most of the "extras"?) or re-encode the audio and video at lower quality rates. I think. I'm kind of going on theory because I've never tried to do this with a dual-layer DVD. The main breastle is almost always the first one. That's VTS01* , probably. snip listing Er... it probably matches the glob written above. I think it's that way to accomodate really old, really brain-damaged DVD players that lack features like "force viewer to sit through 5 minutes of dumb commercials" and just play the first breastle when a DVD's inserted. You may have to fiddle with the .IFO files or something else to remove the breastles-menu options that are no longer there, though. I can't really advise you on this. -- Matt GThere is no Darkness in Eternity-But only Light too dim for us to see Brainbench MVP for Linux Admin mail: TRAP + SPAN don't belong ----------------------------- penguins, is Tux." --MegaHAL
