When replying to a newsgroup post, *always* include context so that everyone knows what you're replying...
Not going to do you much good if you are running ash.
Ash is sh, not bash, and is a much simpler shell.
"Remember"?

What's a "non file"?
1. Get the ash-sh manpage and study it.
2. Get the ls manpage for your OS and find out whether it supports the -R option or not.
(Mulinux is one of the 'tiny linux' distros and may not use the large GNU utilities, just like it doesn't use the large GNU shell, bash.)
3. Quit using ridiculous trendy terms from some windoze-weenie chat room and learn the right ones for the Linux-Unix world (by reading a lot of posts on a group like this, for example).
I do not know if I am using USB mouse and keyboards. But I guess I am not since the mouse and keyboard are not connected to...
4. THEN, when you are SITTING AT YOUR LINUX-UNIX computer, try again. You are not advanced enough to do such things in your head.
