got it working: working: drbd, drbdadm segfault, no such devicelinux.debian.user 4708 You are not missing much. That mailing list is dominated by a small cabal of some of the worst spammers on the Internet. The pros like... I've been dealing with a few drbd problems. I figured I would post this to usenet so that when I forget all of this in a few months google groups will return something useful for me. ;) I haddev-drbd0 configured and functional on two machines. I wanted to add drbd1 so I coppied configuration for drbd0 inetc-drbd.conf and coppied the file to both machines. The first problem I encountered was that drbdadm would segfault upon end. I was using drbdadm from debian sarge, version 0.7.10-2. The segfaults went away when I downloaded and compiled the 0.7.13 tarball. Once drbdadm had been upgraded anything I would try to do with drbd1 would result in the following: can not opendev-drbd1: No such device Specifically this command would fail: %sbin-drbdsetupdev-drbd1 diskdev-loop1 internal -1 --on-io-error=detach can not opendev-drbd1: No such device I couldn't figure out what the trouble with this was. Then I tried restarting drbd as in "-etc-init.d-drbd stop" and "-etc-init.d-drbd start". The drbd module was gone after calling 'stop' and returned after calling 'start'. I don't know why, but reloading drbd got everything working fine. Good luck. linux.debian.user 4707 Results 1 - 100 of 12,300 posts in the last year 1 alt.autos.bmw 1 alt.fan.madonna 2 alt.gossip.celebrities...
