Geir Holmavatn As Stan has mentioned, if you want to get rid of your Win servers, you will...

My project requires more than one serial port, the computer I am working on only has one serial port. So I bought a mini PCI serial port card which is supposed to provide me with 4 additional serial ports. I installed the card, and patched the kernel with the patch provided. After the computer starts I do dmesg grep tty and the following is printed: pebble:~# dmesg grep tty ttyS00 at 0x03f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A ttyS01 at 0x02f8 (irq = 3) is a 16550A ttyS04 at port 0xe000 (irq = 10) is a 16C950-954 ttyS05 at port 0xe008 (irq = 10) is a 16C950-954 ttyS06 at port 0xe010 (irq = 10) is a 16C950-954 ttyS07 at port 0xe018 (irq = 10) is a 16C950-954

To myself I say great it works.... but when I try to use a program that I wrote on any of the new serial ports I get errors. Strerror says unable to open file or directory. But when I try to use ttyS0 (the original port)I can used it. It is my understanding that ttyS1 is serial port built on the computer that is not accessible. So it appears the new ports are 4-7. So, any suggestions as to how I can use these new ports?
