knoppix captiventfs
I know nothing in particular, but considering this from the project page: This compatibility was achieved in the Wine way by using the original Microsoft Windows ntfs.sys driver. It emulates the required subsystems of the Microsoft Windows kernel by reusing one of the original ntoskrnl.exe, ReactOS parts, or this project's own reimplementations, on a case by case basis. Some Projects From freeLSDLinux Support Developments Name: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) Project Description: Primary goals are create modern sound driver for Linux with new sound API which solves all OSS-Lite trouble and create good libraries for sound applications... Unix Administrator Opening at Vcommerce Corporation Arizona Scottsdale Vcommerce is looking for a bright and ambitious Linux EXPERT who is willing to do what it takes to get it done in... it could also be due to fear for leagal issues. On the other hand, Development Status Project is no longer developed. The key functionality is reached by the latest released version. All its resources are available here for download. Known Issue Captive was written to interface with the Linux kernel via LUFS. Unfortunately, this project is no longer being maintained by its author. Mounting of NTFS devices usually works, but is no longer supported by the author of Captive. Always unmount the device by umount(8) command before shutting down your GNU-Linux system. A port of Captive to the newer FUSE interface has not yet been implemented. There is an experimental LUFS-FUSE bridge called lufis that can be used in the meanwhile. Also, the captive-cmdline(1) interface will get around any kernel compatibility problems. also may suggest that it is being seen as a potential liability, as unmaintained software. Or, that it did not work with the newest kernels. -Enrique
