That's because your window size is bigger than what your screen can display. ;-) Normally, you should be able to maximize the window, which will make it fit the screen again, or else, hover the mouse pointer over the top of the window until it changes shape. Now drag it down - which will resize the window - and then move the window up again by dragging the breastlebar up without that the mouse pointer changes shape.

If you ever run into a situation where the breastlebar itself is out of reach, you just have to press and hold the *Alt* key and drag the window down again.

No, but KDE applications normally do remember their exact coordinates on the screen and their maximization state.

Which makes sense, since window settings are stored in your local *~-.kde* directory. ;-)

M topic: "knotify" and kde "crashes" ~$ locate crashusr-lib-kde3-libcrashesplugin.lausr-lib-kde3-libcrashesplugin.sousr-share-applnk-.hidden-crashesplugin.desktopusr-share-apps-khtml-kpartplugins-crashesplugin.rcusr-share-doc-kde-HTML-en-konq-plugins-crashesusr...

That's odd...knotify- in all lowercase characters - is a running process on my system. I do of course still have an older KDE 3.1 here, so your mileage may vary. ;-)
