mail jammedNow here's a strange one. My home network has been run from an RH9 server for a long time and all has been working fine for the most part. Just today I now see a strange problem with email. In particular if I send email from a machine on the home network ( inside firewall- usual NAT setup ) It arrives quickly with no issues. However if I log onto the server itself, fire up "pine" or whatnot and send a message, all appears fine ( no errors or bounce and message shows up in the outgoing mail box) but the message doesn't arrive. Same result sending to another user on the server or to apparently anyone anywhere. Same result from other accounts on the server. All worked fine yesterday. No reboots or installs or config changes or the like. So- is this perhaps indicative of a worm-hack? If not where would I look to see what's the likely cause? Stan mail jammed 4585 staggered into the Black Sun and said: So, what's the outgoing SMTP server set to in the machines behind the gateway? What's the outgoing SMTP server set to... PS- yep I know RH9 is dated- and I'm working on replacing this with a Debian 3.1 box, but it would be nice if it worked in the meantime. -- Stan Bischof ("stan" at the below domain) www.worldbadminton.com
