Toshiba laptop display probs
I just installed Fedora Core 4 on a Toshiba Portege 7140 laptop. All is reasonably well; however, the display has...

That's not to do with the mail server (i.e. transfer agent), but with the local delivery agent. If procmail is your LDA, that's been procmail's decision to put it there. It could put it anywhere else, or send it out somewhere else with a different name, etc, according t what you TELL procmail to do with it in a conf file for procmail.

There isn't any deduction to be performed on his words since it's pretty clear that he simply doesn't know what he is talking about! He has to fix that before people can treat what he is saying as data. Either that, or get himself out of the loop entirely, and just report what he sees and does without placing his interpretations on it!

Apologies to posters like John-Paul who're outside the United States of Disney^WAmerica: The original post was inappropriate for most of this newsgroup's worldwide...

His major confusion probably stems from the fact that by default bar. He therefore has got it stuck in his mind that sendmail NEEDS a valid user as a local target. That's simply not true, nor is it has been told that it is serving for both X and Y "domains". When he gets that out of his mind his immediate perceived problem will disappear and he might then find a REAL problem!

His "real" problem, if any, seems to be that he doesn't know about virtuser tables (and maybe aliases, though that's not apparently relevant if I understand him right), nor does he know that mail will go wherever he tells his MDA (procmail) to put it. I might in his position be using "deliver" as a delivery agent instead, and have written a simple deliver.sh script to put the mail in appropriate places (mail-foo-X and mail-foo-Y). Then he can create users foo-X and foo-Y to match and tell clients to pick up by fetchmail-pop-imap from those boxes respectively. Or he can use mail drops X-foo and Y-foo and arrange that enquiries via pop go to different servers n the different directries according to the target address (pop.X or pop.Y).

what do you think about this site 4849
Yikes. Blue text on black background is awfully hard to read. In general, the grammar needs a lot of work. I take it...

Anyway, it's ALL for him to START work on.

Anything at all would work.
