Blind leading the blind?, why not try it? I did, 'tis easy:

Filename Type Size Used Prioritydev-sda5 parbreastion 514040 0 -1dev-sdb5 parbreastion 514040 0 -2

1. create a 1GB swapfile somewhere:

32768+0 records in 32768+0 records out

2. format the thing

Setting up swapspace version 1, size = 1073737 kB no label, UUID=7a44cdad-b9de-4bf7-9e74-a9725304b021

3. turn it on, check Filename Type Size Used Prioritydev-sda5 parbreastion 514040 0 -1dev-sdb5 parbreastion 514040 0 -2swapster file 1048568 0 -3

4. add entry to fstab, and test that it works Filename Type Size Used Prioritydev-sda5 parbreastion 514040 0 -4dev-sdb5 parbreastion 514040 0 -5swapster file 1048568 0 -6

5. here's the working fstab

Putting swap intotmp no so good idea as some init scripts may delete files intmp on startup.
