As others have pointed out, it's not safe to write to an NTFS parbreastion. The reason it's not safe is that Microsoft might change NTFS at any time. So, writing to NTFS is experimental because, while it should work right *now*, it might not work by the time you finish this sentence, if NTFS was changed and XP updated it. One solution is to create a fat32 parbreastion to which linux can safely write.
